The Batgun is a selectable weapon in 20 Minutes Till Dawn. It costs 3150 souls.

The batgun gun shoots bats that chase down enemies. The bats act both as bullets and summons in the sense that they benefit from increased summon damage, but they do not count as summons for the Gotta Catch 'Em All achievement, the Dedication rune, the Pulsing Summons upgrade, etc.

Summon damage bonuses increase the damage of the bats, while summon attack speed bonuses increase the fire rate of the batgun.

The batgun is the only gun to start with Bounce.

Level 20 Evolutions

The batgun has 3 available evolutions when the player reaches level 20.

Hellfire Bats.png Hellfire Bats Your bullets have a 50% chance to inflict Burn for 3 damage per second. Burn damage is increased by your Summon Damage.
Shadow Bats.png Shadow Bats Your bullets have a 50% to inflict Curse. Curse damage is increased by your Summon Damage.
Vampiric Bats.png Vampiric Bats Max HP +1. Every 200th enemy killed drops a healing item.

Tips

  • Synergizes incredibly well with Splinter, as the 3 smaller bats will chase enemies a long distance away. This is a very efficient way to spread status effects such as Burn or Freeze to many enemies.
  • Excellent with Abby's ability, as the bats chase down enemies, so firing them in random directions is much less of an issue.

Changelogs

  • 0.6.3: Damage increased from 6 to 8. Bounce +1.
  • 1.0.0: Batgun damage increased from 8 to 18 but projectiles reduced from 2 to 1.
